WaveDrives Ltd was spun out of Elumotion Ltd in June 2015 to take SILA and its underpinning patented actuation technology to market.
Elumotion has invested in WaveDrive and SILA to be ready with actuation solutions suitable for active prosthetics, exoskeleton, assistive devices, rehabilitation tele-care and service robotics markets. Elumotion’s focus is sustainable, electro-mechanical and robotic solutions capable of human-compatible motion.
We recently licensed robotic hand technology to Schunk GMBH, which is now sold worldwide as the ‘Schunk 5-fingered hand’
Previous contracts include development of the TouchBionics i-limb, the market leading prosthetic hand.
A number of complex robotics torsos for research at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory.
